Escalator and Moving Walk Systems
Escalator and moving walk systems organize and guide pedestrian traffic in shopping malls, hotels, business centers, overpasses, and transit terminals in a regular and safe manner. As Alanya Zirve Elevator, we provide support for the installation, commissioning, and periodic maintenance processes of indoor and outdoor escalators and moving walk systems around Alanya and Gazipasa.
These systems are designed according to the passenger density and outdoor environmental conditions of the area where they will be used. While aesthetic paneling and lighting options stand out indoors, corrosion resistance and protection against humidity and sea breeze become more critical outdoors.
Outdoor Systems:
Designed with galvanized frame, stainless steel cladding, outdoor-grade step chains, and appropriate drainage solutions, taking into account the temperature, humidity, and salty air brought by the Mediterranean climate.
Indoor Systems:
Glass or stainless steel cladding options can be used in shopping malls, hotels, and business centers, matching the architectural design of the building.
Technical Design and Safety Equipment:
Safety devices specified in the EN 115-1 standard are integrated for passenger safety in escalator and moving walk systems:
- Passenger Safety: Step breakage/drop protection, handrail speed control, entrapment sensors, step chain monitoring systems, and comb-plate skirt brush guards.
- Moving Walks and Paths: Flat or inclined moving walk options in areas where baby strollers, wheelchairs, or shopping carts are used.
- Energy-Saving Control: Radar and photocell systems that reduce speed or put the system into standby mode when there are no passengers.
The correct inclination, width, speed, and safety equipment for a project are determined according to the usage density and site conditions.
